Taipei, January 2nd, 2020:

The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC) staged a Flag Presentation Ceremony for the Chinese Taipei Delegation to the 3rd Winter YOG Games Lausanne 2020 on 2nd, January 2020.

Mr. Wen-Chung PAN, Minister of Education, presented the Chinese Taipei NOC flag to Mr. Hong-Dow LIN, President of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee and Head of Delegation.

The flag was delivered to Mr. Hong-Dow LIN, Head of Delegation also the President of Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee from Mr. Wen-Chung PAN, Minister of Education.

In addition, a 60-minute orientation session including detailed Games information, especially doping control guidelines were given to attendees after the ceremony.

The 2020 Lausanne Winter Youth Olympic Games will be held in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne and St. Moritz in Switzerland from 9th through 22nd in January 2020. Chinese Taipei NOC is sending a total of 14 athletes to participate in 5 sports, including Skiing, Luge, Bobsleigh, Ice skating and Ice hockey.

At the ceremony, CTOC president Hong-Dow LIN encouraged athletes to make the best of the Games and pursue excellence relentlessly with determination and courage. The Games will also serve as the best opportunity for Chinese Taipei athletes to gain international experience in winter sports and to inspire more young athletes to participate in future Winter Youth Olympic Games.

On behalf of the Chinese Taipei delegation, Mr. Chi-Yuan CHEN, ice-hockey athlete, received the nutrition subsidy from Mr. Wen-Chung PAN, Minister of Education.
