The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC) staged a Flag Presentation Ceremony for the Chinese Taipei Delegation to the 4th Winter YOG Gangwon 2024 on 12th, January 2024.
Mr. Wen-Chung PAN, Minister of Education, presented the Chinese Taipei NOC flag to Mr. Hong-Dow LIN, President of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee and Head of Delegation.
In addition, a 60-minute orientation session including detailed Games information, especially doping control guidelines were given to attendees after the ceremony.
The 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games will be held in Gangwon do, the Republic of Korea from 19th January through 2nd February 2024. Chinese Taipei NOC is sending a total of 19 athletes to participate in 4 sports, including Ice hockey, Luge, Skating and Skiing.
At the ceremony, CTOC president Hong-Dow LIN encouraged athletes to make the best of the Games and pursue excellence with determination and courage. The Games will also serve as the best opportunity for Chinese Taipei athletes to gain international experience in winter sports and to inspire more young athletes to participate in future Winter Youth Olympic Games.
