The ” A level playing field across time and space – exploring the path to gender equality in the Olympics ” lecture held on April 20th at the Public Affairs and Business Management Center of National Chengchi University concluded successfully. The event, organized by the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee and co-hosted by the CTOC gender Equity Commission and the Taiwan International Sports Volunteers Association, featured a range of sports experts and Olympic athletes.

The session opened with Dr. Chen Yi-an, Chairperson of the CTOC gender Equity Commission, setting the stage for an enlightening exchange of ideas centered around gender equality and the core values of the Olympics. Notable presentations included an inspiring talk by Wen Tzu-yun, Karate bronze medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and a compelling discourse on Equestrian sports and gender issues by Huang Chi-fang, Vice President of the International Equestrian Federation. Additionally, well-known author Chan ChunChih shared moving stories from the world of marathon running, while boxer and university lecturer Pan Junior discussed the interplay between boxing training and education.

The event attracted attendees from vary areas, including students, educators, and professionals from the sports industry. The Q&A session was particularly vibrant, with participants eagerly engaging with the speakers for deeper insights.
