A bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee and Saint Lucia Olympic Committee on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Mr. Hong-Dow Lin, President of CTOC and Senator the Honourable Fortuna Belrose, President of Saint Lucia Olympic Committee, inked the Agreement at the signing ceremony with Dr. Chin-Hsung Kao, Director General of Sports Administration, Ministry of Education and Ambassador Edwin Laurent of Embassy of Saint Lucia in Taipei as witness.
The Ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Ms. Baklai Temengil, the visiting secretary general of Palau National Olympic Committee and member of International Olympic Committee, Ms. Beng Choo Low, secretary general of World Baseball Softball Confederation and president of Softball Asia, Dr. Etsuko Ogasawara, executive director of Japanese Center for Research on Women in Sport (JCRWS), and many others from Taiwan.
This is the 38th NOC to sign a Bilateral Cooperation Agreement with CTOC. CTOC President H.D. LIN pointed out that with strong diplomatic ties between the two countries, several cooperative projects have been launched in various fields over the years. The relationship between the two NOCs is expected to take to a new height.
The agreement encourages cooperation in areas of sports exchange, staff exchange, medical science, anti-doping, National Olympic Academies and many more.
